I hear TraderVic paid compliments to Chanos at JAKKS CC.

Didn't know TraderVic thought so highly of Chanos and Herb. BTW what does SMUT mean. I haven't previously seen that word used as an indication of reverence.

Old news, I'm afraid. The JV shipped 800 K N64 and 200 K (probably a bit more) of the GBC. This quarter we've already seen a reorder of the N64 200+ K but more likely about 400 K.

My best guess for Smackdown is that THQ will follow usual policy and order exactly what retailers want plus 15% for quick reorders. I expect an initial shipment of about 800 K.

I expect another 500 K or so in Q2. Plus, Gysi said that there is upside to the WWF online game, which is Q2.

More news from the JAKK call. JAKK needs someone to distribute videogames from its licenses. In fact, work has already started on two Gameboy offerings. THQ would seem like an obvious choice of partners. Also, WWF is going to start airing in France for the first time. International growth is where the WWF action is for 2000, IMO.

The JAKK call was amazingly positive and the stock is worth a look. $5 in cash and will likely make $2 in 2000. Traditionally toy makers get a 20-25 PE late in the year.
