Yep ... I can envision a personal directory for the Palm ... it makes sense.

As for the IrDA (Infra-red port) you would need to be aware that other people might be "sniffing" the air for stray IrDA data ... and so there would probably have to be a special receptical that would prevent loss of signal to other nearby devices ...
