A-1 Anchor Undergoing Initial Tests for Seismic Evaluation by the Glotman Simpson Group VANCOUVER, B.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 17, 2000--Safe Environment Engineering Canada Inc. (CDNX:SFU - news) is pleased to announce that initial testing of its A-1 (C) pre-set concrete anchors is now underway. Tests are being performed by Intertek Testing Services NA Ltd. Test evaluation is by the Glotman Simpson Engineerin Group. Glotman Simpson were retained to apply their structural engineering consulting services to the assessment of the company's unique line of ``cast-in place' concrete anchors. Initial results of testing indicate regulatory approvals can be expected this year. The ISO 9001 certified Glotman Simpson Group, well-known for its most recent completion of a seismic restraint manual for the Electrical Contractor's Association of British Columbia, is evaluating tests for the patented concrete anchors against industry-standard, seismic design requirements for anchors. ``The A-1 Anchor (C) final engineering evaluations will take our company one step further toward its goal of providing the construction industry with one of the most cost-effective, regulatory-approved, concrete anchor systems available,' said Mr. Watson. Mr. Watson estimates anchor testing, evaluation and subsequent approval by the ICBO (International Conference of Building Officials) could be complete by the middle of the fourth quarter of this year.
