Bobo,
GTA has contracted one of the wall street companies to search into opportunities. In all liklihood, the unit holders will have to get a good enough price to make the deal feasable. I think it is less than 50/50 they will find a buyer over $23-$26, which is probably the minimum range that will get the unit holders to approve when they took stock for shares in the golf courses. Some of these are premier resort locations.

Bob,
EQR looks like a bargain. UDR seems to been running on a few more cylinders now. I think apartment REITs should be one of the safer sectors. With JDN having been a darling until just 3 or 4 months ago... there is a lot of fear among the institutions about the quality of management and their ability to treat the shareholders fairly (i.e. CRRR, PRT, MT, WDN, SSI). In addition the climb in interest rates has hurt a few that didn't lock in the rates, as well as very high turnovers forcing buildouts and commission payments have hurt the CAD in some like PKY, PP, PGE, GLB.
I really haven't been watching too closely until the ^RMS turns up. I believe it fell through the 50 day moving average in the last 2 sessions, which has me concerned for the immediate short term. WRI has found a new low 10 % below the old low and PPS, VNO, PSA, AIV, CPJ, CCG , SPG, DRE, and KIM have treaded to some pretty low prices lately. These are among the normal leaders. HME was low also, but only for a day.
