Cato is not conservative, but libertarian and isolationist......

Gustave,

I don't think much of the CATO analysis. They said that
George Bush needed to "leave office having done something"
is absurd. The guy won the cold war and saved the Persian
Gulf from the tyranny of Saddam Hussain. George Bush
ran the Whitehouse with decency and a sense of honor. The
pathological liar who currently gets his oral sex in the
oval office was the one who turned a simple Somalia
operation into a military one. You might note that other
nations with peacekeepers in Somalia told Clinton not to
try and fight the warlords...he ignored them. Then, after
the warlords kicked our asses in Mogadishu resulting in
about 118 casualties, Clinton held a ceremony in the Rose
Garden and honored the dead that he helped create. The
father of one Army Ranger killed in action told Clinton:
"My son is dead because of you...you are not fit to lead!"
It was Bill Clinton and the liberals like him that started
this "Militaristic Humanism" and this is now our foreign
policy. Why do you think it is failing all over the
planet?
