I wouldn't have taken the chance myself.

Why not? It was risk-free. Why do you think he didn't mention it BEFORE he started the presentation? If it crashed during the presentation, they just would have never mentioned later that it was running on a "Willamette," and they would have just joked about the stability of Microsoft.

First let me correct myself. I do not know that it was running at 1.5GHz for the PPT presentation. But according to eye witnesses it was stated by Albert Yu that the presentation was done on a Willamette. I posted a link earlier today where you can listen to the presentation and according to the original poster, you can hear Albert say so himself.

I wouldn't have taken the chance myself.

EP, the question is not whether it ran on Willamette, but at what speed. And I would not have risked it at 1.5 either.

Elmer,

I posted a link earlier today where you can listen to the presentation and according to the original poster, you can hear Albert say so himself.

Did you listen to it to prove that original poster didn't misinterpret Albert's comments?
