Dorine, Hi!! RE: You mean that brand new facility that is being built in Austin? The one that no one will tell anyone what it is all about? Hmm yes, If that is what you are referring to. Where is RR? The Parmer facility which was built during the summer of 98 was a shock the first time I saw it ....It was under construction but the shell was up ....It had 36 truck ports on each side....Yes, 36 entrances for parts coming in and 36 on the other side for the finished products coming out....After getting a tour of the Metric facility for the desktops, etc....I found the size of Parmer dwarfing Metric,...Yet, the efficiency we witnessed during the tour of Metric was stunning...My imagination went wild thinking of the servers flying out of Parmer some day...Well, we travel to Round Rock this summer and get a tour of Parmer... :o) What a site...what a sight! Servers servers servers...I still recall Patrick finding the area of the facility where the orders were coming in directly from the website and seeing him smile....But, what really shocked us was when the guide informed us that there was this "footprint" of Parmer that they were building next to it....Yep...That's what we were told..."a footprint where we instructed the architect to develop two of these for the future..." Dorine, if you ever had any doubt about the growth of DELL in the near future it vanished that day....We also were told that a facility was being built where all parts would be pre-tested before they enter the site....This way there would be no single company that could assume their component was fine and others had dropped it or not installed it properly....Efficiency Dorine...Makes you wonder why the others are still in business... Best, Kemble
