Today was a near text book example of a short squeeze. From the chart it looks like the squeeze was triggered when the price went above and stayed above 50, which was most likely a trip wire stop loss for the shorts, who then scrambled to get out at the same time the sideline money, waiting for an upside break-out, decided to get in. The spike is very nearly symmetrical, except for that ever so slight bias to the high side. Hmmmmm.
