Gottfried,

I never got my Own computer. But we already have 3 computers linked up together via ethernet. I use the 500 mhz and the 266 is being used by others when I use the 500. The other one is an AMD Athlon 600 just assembled by a son; the other son is going to assemble his own later using a more than 1 gig (AMD or Intel) when available.

But what I Lust also (like you do) is a LapTop but one that can play DVDs also, that I can bring with me to my hometown in the Philippines come December. It would be nice if I could hook it up for Internet Trading and communicate with this thread while I'm in another country... as for Trading, while away about 2 weeks last December, I was able to profit 30 K by instructing via Long Distance telephone my son when to buy and sell 10 AMAT Calls repeatedly. You see, CNBC, Bloomberg and many U.S. Cable Stations are also being watched over there.

Gottfried, I just read that Intel just got a 1.5 Mghrts (sp). Williamette, computer. It was recommended to me that I need to get a 600 or above to run my home server. I may go to the 800 with Microsoft NT or larger depending on price to run my lights, interactivity, voice and video for the future. It was recommended to get the biggest for future expansion.

Any thoughts.

Paul
