Cancom, the majority shareholder of Globalstar Canada, has a couple of pages devoted to G* in it's annual report:

cancom.ca

Perhaps the most interesting bit:

"At the end of FY99, Globalstar Canada entered into an agreement with Globalstar USA, the
founding service provider, to provide gateway monitoring for all of North America and the
Caribbean, and is negotiating to offer that service in other countries. The Canadian company
will also be providing web development for on-line North America-wide customer care services."

NB, Cancom's fiscal year ended August 31.

G* PR campaign to sell the stock pumped the stock more than fundamentals justified; we are now paying for it. Lower sub projections reinforce fear that there is simply insufficient market for satphone system no matter how good technologically. Investments in internet, high data sat biz looks better right now with market focus on broadband solutions. Bernie selling too much of the future in LOR and G* for capital without first getting some $ return that is visible. The latter reminds me too much of Monsanto fiasco and scares me more than anything.

Leo, McCain's comments might have hurt us a good deal. What exactly did he say to "stir the punchbowl"? Now no one even wants to sip from around the sides!
BTW I'd never vote for him now!!!
