Thanks for the site, I Bookmarked it in case I want to buy one later! But I'll wait yet, there might be some more powerful and reasonably priced LapTops just before Christmas.

December, January and February are the nicest months in the Philippines --- no rain, floods, earthquakes (I guess) and no Hot Weather; like Springtime in Silicon Valley. During those months in my hometown one could swim in Spring-watered swimming pools ( that's right --- spring water like water we bottle and drink here), water that are being drained from swimming pools every day.

Actually I was born during the war when one day my mother was placed below a house on stilts and shielded by sacks of rice while a skirmishes between the Japanese occupying forces and a number of Filipino Guerillas were going on nearby. But I was too young then to remember the Ugliness of war. Maybe because when I was an infant my sister used to carry me and bring me to the Japanese Garrison in front of our house and where a a number of Japanese soldiers had fun carrying, kissing and playing with me around.

My town was a deadend town surrounded by mountains --- where General Yamashita's Tank division met its Deadly end. The General was later captured up the mountains where he was hanged by the Americans nine times (if tales are to be believed).

It's ironic that some Japanese companies are at present financing and building in there a Dam that when completed in 2004 should be the biggest in Asia. Some Japanese companies are going to develop the town as a tourist resort (boating, fishing and water skiing).

I guess I'll have fun visiting the place once a year.

Sorry for Boring you with my tales.
