-158 this year vs. -59 last year is really impressive for gas. I've been keeping track of the temperatures posted by DOE/EIA on their natural gas report every Monday since the period covered is the same as the AGA report on Wed. They give average temps for four major gas-consuming areas (NY, Chicago, Pittsburgh and Kansas City) and last week temps averaged 6.4 degrees ABOVE normal and we still burned 158. Not sure about average temps last Feb (certainly way above normal) but unless people were sunbathing on Lake Michigan last Feb, something is going on here. I think we get close to 200 if temps are normal and two weeks of normal temps would take us to 1000 by month-end. I think usage is being badly underestimated and that may become apparent to all by the time we finally get injections this spring.
