Sure, Elmer. So which of those megafabs is going to get a week off to produce the "hundreds of thousands" of Willies that are due out the door this year? Or maybe with all that excess capacity, Intel could convert one to Rambus production, so it had some on hand to shove down people's throats. Except for servers, of course, where "what the customers want" counts for something.
Cheers, Dan.

Dan,

Since both CuMine, and Willamette both run on the same 0.18u Process, there is no need for a Fab to "Take a week off" to switch from one product to another. Once the A0 Stepping Masks are made, changing from running one product, to another, can be accomplished in a few minutes, by simply switching the reticles in the Steppers, and running different recipes on all the other process tools. No time off is required. Both products can be run on the same production line simultaneously.
