Paul, I don't know if anyone has already posted this link, but it sure bodes well for Intel server performance. Unisys Server Sets Performance Record in First TPC-C Benchmark with Microsoft Windows 2000 Datacenter Server It refers to transaction processing using a UIS 8-way Xeon configuration at only 550MHz. The interesting part is that it gives about the same performance as an 8-way risc machine (Sun?) at about 1/3 the cost. Wonder what it would do with 1.5GHz. Here's the link: biz.yahoo.com Gary

Paul, Re: "Also, we've increased our R&D commitments in key areas, like UNIX, IA-64 and high-end servers." That certainly is good. HP seemed encouraged by their progress in servers. Intel should help them keep that going. When's the rough roadmap timeframe for the Willamette derivative for servers? Foster, is it? Tony
