You may be right. I guess it's hard to determine exactly what ran QCOM up after the earnings report and before the analyst set a $1,000 target.

In my mind, and I believe others on the QCOM - Buy Range thread and G&K thread (though I may be mistaken), the 4/1 split was part of the runup. That's part of the reason I held most of my shares until the end of December, 1999. Either way, it doesn't matter now.
