I use margin, but I have very specific rules for when and how.

I was wondering, do you have any insight into how much the margin debt equates to on a percentage basis? Especially in a historical context. The number looks very high, but I'm not sure what it means in the context of the billions of dollars in new equity value that has been created in the NASDAQ over the last few years. As the total equity value dramatically increases it seems logical that the "absolute value" of margin debt would go up proportionately?

Any thoughts appreciated.
