The SI administration has not only a concern with liability, but also with maintaining an attractive site with a reasonably high level of participation. Thus, they cannot rule out intervention in matters which may tend to bring the site into ill- repute, and have been fairly sparing, in my opinion, particularly on the Coffee Shop threads. Nor can one rule out the effect of individual judgment, since there is neither time nor inclination for instituting a full- blown "due process". The main thing is to be pretty even- handed, and maintain a "long leash", it seems to me......
