Excellent! Go2Net is the obvious reference of the portal distribution mention.

OT: Looking for someone with some investment banking and/or business plan writing experience.

I have a old college buddy who's seems to have a flair for internet business savvy and I've been trying to convince him to prepare his business for an IPO in a couple of years(maybe sooner). But I think he needs to find a reputable VC for a private placement first.

It is a Dot.com and is affiliated with the golfing/travel industry. He's getting a ton of hits, is profitable, did a 1/4 million last year in ad and profit sharing revenues and is currently debt free. The problem? He's pretty much a one man show at the moment (kinda like SI was in the beginning). The goal? To become the premiere portal for every golf afficionado amongst us (though I haven't played in years).

I told him I would try and test the waters for him to see if I could help him restructure it and move to the next level. And what better place to seek this advice than the GNET thread??

Golf is a niche that will transend the retirement of the baby boomers. Especially if they are looking for places to spend their stock market winnings on golf packages.

Let me know via PM if anyone can help out (including Vulcan and/or Russell Horowitz... <VBG>.

Btw, this is serious... :0)

Regards,

Ron
