The last minute drop in stock price today

must of been some stupid daytrading boiler
room group who bought anticipating news,
and when none were forthcoming, bailed out.
I say good riddence to them. they can't
short this stock as no shares are borrowable
now, so maybe they'll move on to better pry.

Hello Steve,

Interesting set of posts ...

* I agree that the buyout/sellout doesn't make sense. They seem to be anxious to develop the value to shareholders (including themselves) which I really believe is about to blow wide open. As they get the ASP hosting site(s) up and running, I'm sure that we'll hear about the first customers they are going to host for ... and they will probably be big ... ;-)

* Looks like the pressure is mounting and the future value is being exposed ... hence the "poison pill" type of arrangements?

* I agree that while the Linux announcement is good, and it might be the platform of choice for the ASP service they are going to offer, the NT solution is still going to have a strong following in the corporate space ... too many Microsoft Certified Engineers around to help install/maintain.

* As for CUSee-Me being in Win2k ... I'm not sure that I see that happening. Maybe if WPNE talked MSFT into throwing it in for free ... I don't see Microsoft ditching their free NetMeeting product right now. As a side note, CUSee-Me is a much more feature-rich product compared to NetMeeting ... and remember that Microsoft has no server product (ala MeetingPoint) which is the *real* value that WPNE has developed ...
