He's awfully late. My sources reported last Monday afternoon that short-sellers had started working LPTHA when the price was up near $40.

LPTHA: Yes, Wes. It is as you say. It resembles sleep apnia. Sure glad we know the story. Reply #20068 . . . the one where I warned newcomers not to start new positions in LPTHA. Likewise, starting a short position today near $32 seems rather odd . . and late-on-the-draw.

I haven't looked at the LPTHA thread, but there is usually a pattern to this type of play by gangs of concerted short-sellers. I could guess that there is a distinct lack of product awareness, technological application or understanding of the optics market in general. . . but plenty of conjecture, intimidation, unverifiable claims and some wild conspiracy theories. That's the typical MO. Such types often live on the fringe of the law, so be careful not to provoke.

And when they show up here, be sure to treat everyone with respect at all times.

Other than that, it's business as usual. Some short-sellers think that we long trader/investors live and die by a single stock. . .whereas, one stock is generally 1/50th of our portfolios. . . .every now and then they show up here to gloat about "trapping" us in some stock that we played on the swing, only to find that we Profit Often and move on. . .

We play against short-sellers every single day. . . and nearly always end up winning in the end. CBMI, SCON and CYTO were loaded with shorts today. . .I played the first two and did VERY VERY well despite the large showing of opposition. . . .timing is important. . . . remember how we have discussed watching for the ask volume to dry up and for the main brokerages to go "non-marginable" before we re-enter?

We bank our money before they can figure out what hit them.
Speaking of LOADS of short-sellers, the run to cover on CORL was a thing of beauty today. Check my post#20597 against the CORL T&S [keep in mind that the time on SI posts are about 3 to 4 minutes fast.]

Its an interesting subject. But once more we don't make our big gains by our trading. . . .but rather by the moves in the market or market sectors.
