My opinion on gaps.

"A GAP UP IN THE MORNING, IS A GIFT, ACCEPT ALL GIFTS

That means, if I have the stock the day before, and you are planning on buying during the gap, I'll be most happy, to sell you some of my shares. And I know, that 90% of the time, after the gap up, when you are buying, the MM's will whack it back down to cover, I can buy again, while perhaps "you" are panicing watching the bottom fall out of your newly purchased stock, and perhaps getting shaken out.

If that happens, LOL I get to sell you my stock, nice and high, then buy it back from you, 10-20 minutes later, much lower, and I'm ready for the MM's to take it back up again, where "I" can sell it back to you at the next high, when you realize, "holy shit, it's going again".

And on a real doozy of a momo, that can happen 2,3,4,5 times a day.

Now that's an extreme, but it happens, all the time.

the notorious TMex (Tokyo Joe) for the newbies, always had a rule, about never buying at the open, that's why, his picks always came out, at 10am Eastern, generally after the first shake.
