Yes,

I wouldn't start averaging into the short position until it hit at least 40's and then only 5% of the ultimate target short size.

That way more could be shorted at 50.

It will not be near as painful as the poor chaps that shorted too soon at 25 and 26.

The stock will not close higher than today's price. It will fall in the morning.
