Re: "So when is it shipping? Heard anything about AMD vs. 1GHz on its Al process?"

That's all I heard. Sounds like enough for a good size launch.

There were 3 OEM Gigamine systems on display (DELL, HP, IBM), boxes and all, at IDF.

Boxes and all?

This "OEM system on display" thing has me scratching my head as much as the .5/1/1.5/3ghz Willy. The cpu is a drop in replacement for the currently shipping (or not) cumine systems, right? So the OEMs printed up some labels and boxes and got a few hand picked parts from Intel. If the boxes don't get wet, they'd be available when needed.

I'm sure Intel will ship a 1ghz cumine, sometime, and I'm sure Michael Dell will eventually get all the 800mhz cumines he wants too. The "3 OEM Gigamine systems on display" tells us what, exactly, about when, exactly, we can expect that to happen?

Cheers, Dan.
