Tom, I am drinking Irish Cream and it definitely gets to your head. I have been doing some DD on ALA and was surprised by what I found. They are into every aspectÿ of telecoms. They decided to expand and buy what they cannot build Scrapped in house ATM building in 1997 They are in 130 countries The US is now their major focus They got 6000 R & D people in the US Their management team has 25 people of 9 Nationalities Some of their French speaking managers actually are Belgians This means there may be much less Anglo-French " friction " than expected. When ALAÿ Rockwell, Xylan etc with mind of getting in the US. Their CEO SThuruckÿ has a very varied background but comes from the top ÿ French Ecole Polytechnique as well as many of their managers With Telcos and Energy being The Growth market story of the next 10 years, I figure if ALA does buy NN , all you got to do is put the stock in your drawer and stop worrying about it.
