SUVs are subsidized by other drivers via lower than fair value for insurance and taxes. Gasoline tax should be generally higher to pay for all the roads and other expenses caused by driving instead of saddling everyone in general with those costs.

Well the gov't is doing its best to make sure oil doesn't show up in the reported numbers - they just reduced the weighting for it. Reported inflation is now like reported operating earnings. Everyone knows they are BS but no one cares. -s-

What is the deal with the SPoos? I can't remember the last time they were negative before the open. I see the rest of the world is all lathered up and bidding stocks. Bad Day at Blackrock for poot holders coming up.
