Foreign Funds Bought Net INR748 Mln Of Indian Shares Wed Thursday, February 17 8:27 PM SGT BOMBAY (Dow Jones)--Foreign institutional investors bought a net 748 million rupees ($1=INR43.62) of Indian stocks Wednesday, the Securities & Exchange Board of India said Thursday. The board releases daily purchase and sale figures with a one-day lag. Figures are rounded and in rupees (INR) Wednesday Tuesday Purchases INR4.61 bln INR3.58 bln Sales 3.86 bln 4.79 bln Net 748.0 mln 788.0 mln Foreign institutional investors bought a net INR15.11 billion worth of Indian stocks until Wednesday in February, compared with net purchases of INR1.51 billion in the whole of January, the board said.
