Well now that makes more sense. Thanks JDN. We're about to get some chickens. One of my questions was how far away from the house to put them. That and how best to go about giving them baths.

I guess 'free range chicken' doesn't quite mean what the name implies. In fact, they could all be shackled together with chains at their little hooves and they'd still qualify as 'free range' chickens. Doesn't seem right.
