Yes, I seem to remember reading some posts from L4P. He stuck out on the Yahoo thread because just about everyone else were cheerleaders and he was one of the few that actually discussed IREG in a meaningful way. Thanks for the tip though, I'll go back and reread some of his/her posts. I'll take a look at CYBER also.

Good Luck
Geoff

Here, present!

There are rumors flying around about an INTC buyout of HIFN. Let's face it, the VPN chip business is hot! Witness BRCM's recent buyout of Blue Steel. I think HIFN and IREG could be buyout targets, with potential buyers being ADI, INTC, MOT, LU.

The recent runup in HIFN is most likely tied to the forecasts for LU's business picking up next quarter, additional design wins, buyout rumors, and the hot VPN market.

IREG's rise is due to the increase in orders in the last quarter, possible buyout rumors, and the increased awareness on 'Net security after the denial of service attacks on major sites earlier (although this has nothing to do with IREG or HIFN's products).

Anyway, the bottom line and I've said all along is that this sector is exteremly hot, there will be multiple winners, and buyouts by the big boys should be no surprise.

Good luck,
L4P
