Cohen Makes Technical Stop-Over In Accra Panafrican News Agency February 17, 2000 Accra, Ghana (PANA) - William Cohen, US secretary of defence, Wednesday made a short "technical stop-over" in Accra on his way to Nigeria. He is on a three- nation African tour which has taken him to Morocco and South Africa and is to end in Nigeria. The technical stop-over was due to bad weather in Nigeria resulting from the severe harmattan prevailing in that country. According to a spokesman of the US Embassy in Accra, the three-nation African tour is part of President Bill Clinton administration's larger engagement in Africa. africanews.org
