He must be a wonderful lawyer to get away with multiple billing, or, his clients must be exceedingly dumb. I never pay a lawyer's bill unless it is itemized to the minute and an explanation of the charge is attached and it seems reasonable to me. I even insist on printouts of their research. Whenever I am deposed as an expert, I always charge to the minute, although I charge waiting time at my "research rate" rather than my "testimony" rate which is much higher.
