I don't like PXD either. Their production looked like it fell off a cliff in late 1999 (3rd quarter) and declined further in the 4th quarter. They are the only company I follow that had a sequential quarter of declining revenues in 3rd quarter 1999. The 4th quarter revenues increased slightly due to commodity prices. (159 million 3rd, 1999 vs. 163 million 4th 1999) Slider claims they are an asset play. I don't know. I would rather own companies that are producing to take advantage of the current prices.
