One fundamental change in my view about TERN that was affected by Gilder was his thumbs up on their recent DSL purchase. My initial take was one of concern that they were diluting their offerings. His is that it fits with their strategy to provide broad, integrated offerings.

I need to read more, and even then probably won't see the full picture. But, I have been around Gilder long enough now to trust that he sees things before I do. (For an example, and only if you are interested and request same, I will provide by PM to you a short story of how Gilder's wisdom may have kept me from dumping QCOM just before the rise began last year.)

Of course, none of this says that the 50+ point rise today was justified. But I could have said the same thing about QCOM many 50 point moves ago.
