Barry:
Edelstone thinks that the picture isn't going to be totally clear for 6 more months

Yea, The market reached his 6 month price target for RMBS already so he's got to cheapen it up a little before becoming more bullish. In 6 months time, if everything goes right for RMBS, stock price could be much higher than 140.

Barry,

<I'm currently listening to the live Marc Edelstone interview on Rambus.>

Mark Edelstone would never call Rambus an all or nothing proposition. The analyst you're referring to is Drew Peck (aka Peckerhead). I shouldn't comment too much on the interview b/c I don't have audio capability on this PC - I'm at the IDF and I'm quite busy.

However, what I do know is that Peck is notoriously negative on Intel and it wouldn't surprise me if he had a negative interview about RMBS.

By the way, speaking of Edelstone, he is at the Intel forum (I saw him several times)and I didn't see Peck once. Therefore, I believe no one should listen to an analyst who doesn't get out there in the field and find out what's going on.

If Peck was at the IDF he'd see how much momentum is building for Rambus and he'd see the enthusiasm about the technology. I wonder if he even knows that Wilamette for the desktop is Rambus and all Rambus - no question about it! It is a fact! Also, Timna will be all Rambus once the MTH chip is taken off the motherboard. Timna is innately designed with a RAC on die and Intel has and will make no changes to that plan. However, due to the demand on Rambus parts that Willamette and Gigahertz PIII's (running on improved versions of i820 chipsets)will place on a still relatively limited supply of RIMMS, Intel must be cautious. Therefore, Intel placed the MTH chip in with the Timna design as a transitional measure. Timna will be all Rambus once RIMMs are in adequate supply for the low end. If this happens sooner rather than later due to companies like MU getting their act together, then the MTH version of Timna becomes obsolete and Timna will be all Rambus because that's the way it's designed. This is another irrefutable FACT!! I bet Peck has no knowledge of this. How can he, he's not at the IDF (at least I didn't see him). I saw several other analysts like Osha (Merrill) and WU (ABN Ambro) and a couple of others...but no PECK!!

Peck has never impressed me....I expect to hear from Edelstone soon about RMBS...I don't see how he can't be even more positive about RMBS.

Some people out there understand what I've written above. Look at Rambus' stock price...it makes me smile.

Good luck to all longs,

Doug
