PARIS, Feb 17 (Reuters) - French telecoms equipment maker Alcatel (SBF:CGEP) declined on Thursday to comment on newspaper reports it was in "serious" talks to take over Canadian network service provider Newbridge Networks Corp. (TSE:NNC)(NYSE:NN).
