Mike,

>>BTW, I expect the drug program for seniors will pass this summer and
that will kill the bios for awhile, so money could flow out very
quickly.<<

I haven't read much about this bill. How will it the drug companies, distributors and other health care related businesses?

I know there's a bunch of companies that provide senior living services that are either bankrupt or on their way due to payment system changes that were made last year. Any possible changes in that area? I can't see them letting seniors not get needed medical and drug services for too long.

I expect both Clinton and Republicans want to enact a prescription benefit plan of different stripes this year. However, I would also expect that the Democrats want to poisin pill any plan in legislation to try to get it to bomb in the floor votes, or to pass narrowly and get vetoed. The trick it seems IMO would be whether the plan would be of a shape that Clinton would sign over the objections of the Dems. The Democrats want to run with both the do-nothing Congress issue and with the drug costs issue.
