Writing with my mouth half-full of Trader Joe's triple ginger cookie, I am wondering what a "celeste" is. Is that perhaps the style of some renowned French-Canadian singer? Or was Celeste Holme not just an actress but a lounge act? Surely, Momma Celeste never contributed anything to musical style, although she undoubtedly made a few pizzas for a tenor or two.

Yes, I agree it is best to go about our everyday lives, although I am looking forward to a similarly impassioned defense of the Mexican flag and its use in California, along with a spirited denunciation of the obviously illegal land seizures by those despicable carpetbaggers from back East who seized political power and denied the lawful long-time citizens the right to participate.

Doubtless, the failure of the United States to honor its own international treaties will be decried, and a movement begun to actually enforce the terms agreed to in the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo (at least, I think its called that).

Or perhaps a movement to repatriate all of those millions upon millions of unwelcome immigrants to California - you know, the ones from Ohio, Vermont, Georgia, and Oklahoma. Especially the Oklahomans.

<<I'm looking out the study window and do you know that we still have Christmas tree branches in the flower beds? That is SO pitiful.>>

That's not so bad, I have 20 Christmas trees in my backyard piled up and turning brown. Wife keeps asking when I'm going to DO something with them.
