Keith: Can't say exact numbers, but we know of a few who are supplying kit and phones and these include: Matsushita/Panasonic, NEC, Sony, Mitsubishi/Trium, Sharp, Samsung, NEC and a couple of equipment suppliers in China among others.

Can't be such a bad deal after all. Please note that even some of these companies have GSM related patents.

Qualcomm was raised to STRONG BUY from ACCUMULATE by Prudential Securities as of 02/18/00.

A snapshot:

* Investment opinion - STRONG BUY
* Price target: $183
* Shares outstanding: 142.2 MM
* Market cap: 18,489 MM (based on $130 per share)
* y2k EPS projected (Sept): $1.11 (raised from $1.02)
* 3 year EPS growth rate" 35% (too low --ibexx)

Other points:

* There are a number of near-term positive catalysts that could push the stock price higher.
* We are entering a new stage in wireless which emphasizes system knowledge over connectivity.
* Opportunity in China could be very large and completes the encirclement of the entire Pacific Basin.
