<The challenge ahead for Bell will be to build a crack management team beneath him. Turnover has been high, much of the midlevel management has left.>

"Still Excited" is the article's heading. The above quote implies that the management team presently underneath him is not up to par as many (Dr. Ah) have stated on this thread.

The Chicago Bulls version: "The challenge ahead for the Bulls will be to build a crack basketball team beneath Coach Tim Floyd. Turnover has been high, much of the midlevel management and great players have left."

<"The phone's been ringing off the hook," he (TJ)says. "When AOL paid $166 billion for broadband access to 77 million homes, that was a pretty ringing endorsement for what we've been doing.">

Investors calling about the stock price?

<Many ISPs now think they can offer broadband access without owning a network like AtHome's, instead leasing bandwidth from national carriers like Qwest or Level 3 (LVLT).>

Author missing who owns what part of broadband. The Quest issue is interesting. Is Quest leasing bandwidth now? Haven't followed Quest in months.

If I was going to write a positive article, I would have labeled AOL as the challenge for Bell, not developing a crack management team. Is getting 2 million subscribers the goal/mission for 2000 at ATHM? I haven't read much else for measureable goals other than they are finally profitable.

The article never explained where TJ and Bell came from. I haven't read much about their start with ATHM. Were they employees 911 and 999?
