Tippet, there was an article at gold-eagle.com a few months ago (I don't recall the author) where he pointed out prior to 1996 it was unusual for GE to trade for more than 16X trailing earnings so your numbers are quite reasonable in a historic context. In addition, a considerable amount of GEs earnings come from GE capital which will not perform well once the bubble bursts. Moreover, the overfunded pension fund benefit won't be there. Mike
