oh yes, i agree exhaustion is more important than the trigger. right now there's this growing consensus that tech's immune to the problems besetting every other type of stock...utter nonsense. if the trannies, cyclicals, banks, retailers and the yield curve all warn of an impending slowdown/recession how can tech possibly be immune in the long run? if i were to guess i'd say that possibly weakness in the other indices/averages may well get so pronounced as to finally spread some nervousness in the gamblers playground.

the JGB's admittedly sound a bit like a desperate bear plot...<g>

well said. A couple of years ago I used to look at the threads of the majors for the NDX and you would see people discussing projections of earnings and so forth -- now they are in a distinct minority. Seems like everyone is a convert to TA these days ...
