No, he wasn't talking about gay men in the least. He was saying that the term "man" is used, in his vocabulary, for beings who have achieved a higher order of intellectual and emotional and moral evolution than simply a being with XY chromosomes, a penis, and testicles. Similarly, in his vocabulary, the term "woman" is used for beings who have achieved a higher order of intellectual and emotional and moral evolution than simply a being with XX chromosomes, a uterus, a vagina, and ovaries. I am biting my tongue and leaving it at that.
