OT- I thought I saw one or two pawing around the MDD thread. <g>

Gas prices making lots of headlines in the papers lately. This may be a top for oil. A year ago I was pounding the table on oil going up. I am backing away from the table now- I think it goes flat or down from here. BWDIK.

Haim:

TW, hard core bears?? they are extinct.

FWIW, I'm a hard-core bear up here in Canada...
have been since July, 1999 and I will not budge.
Our market breadth is atrocious. Nortel and Bell Canada
comprise a very large component of the TSE 300 and
that is the only reason our market has done so well
lately. I'm curious to see if the TSE 300 can surpass
the DJIA. If so, it'll be on the back of these two stocks.

To me, there are spooky similarities in the psychology
of how the NAS is trading and how our gold sector traded
just before the peak of the Bre-X fraud. When Bre-X
collapsed everything in the sector was vapourized within
half a year except the real blue-chip companies, which just
took a bit longer to break down. I'm just waiting for the
psychological equivalent of a Bre-X in the tech world.

I love to lurk here. You have a fine thread.

Cheers from up North.

...hard core bears?? they are extinct ...

Haim, the only ones left are on the lunatic fringe (the clown thread -g-)

Jim Bryan is right, the nasdaq broke out on 2 billion shares, the nasdaq is up until it exhausts itself, the biotechs look close.

i sold my uspix position yesterday when i felt the H&S pattern on the nasdaq had failed, this has been a regular occurance in the bull.

it lost 6.3% today, hopefully i can buy it back tomorrow at another 6.3% discount -g-
