Tim,
<<I expect the market to undervalue 3COM >>
WADR...expect what you want, but I disagree that COMS will be valued at the lowest point that it traded during the last year. I think COMS is finding a new start in some very promising and hot new areas. At any rate we have 6 months of palm madness to support us while we wait and see if/how well the "new" coms works. In about ten days I think we will all be amazed at the market cap of little old PALM...
Good luck and better profits,
Daniel

Tim,
"Therefore we could see a price of $14 - $21." I'm more conservative than most in evaluating COMS value but I think your figure is way too low. My dd on COMS liquid assets coincides with M's. Consider that and sales without Palm and a dozen companies would buy them out at way over your estimate for just those two reasons alone; to say nothing about patents, distribution channels, name brand recognition and a great head start into the red hot wireless sector. We all have to stop trying to drive this car from the rear view mirror and start looking out the windshield. It's a rather encouraging site. Luck to us all, Bill

Is there a Chinese capable Palm from 3Com yet? I noticed that the device like Palm is becoming popular among the Chinese businessmen now but they were not from 3Com. China is the biggest market in the future.
