From what I've read Cowpland saw right through them and started working them at those Linux shows. He's a shark and probably had his teeth sharpened when MSFT put that $100m in Fuller's hands? An interesting point. Does anyone think this acquisition would have happened if Inprise didn't have $200M in cash? If Inprise had already invested most of the money in other companies, Corel probably wouldn't have been interested in Inprise without its sizable dowry. ... and I, for one, would be a lot happier with Inprise's situation.
