Holy smokes! Just checked my calendar. President's day in U.S. US Markets closed? If so then maybe time to add.

Here is some more brain dead analyst baloney.

"But the analyst said that any Newbridge buy would have a dilutive impact of between five and ten percent on Alcatel EPS in 2000, be neutral in 2002 and only positive from 2003."

Why in Lord's name do these analysts even have paying jobs? The acquisition would be accretive for sure as NN is in a strong product transition.

If ALA is offering $6.5 Billion for the 174 Million shares
that's $37.36/share. If my numbers are right, how much larger an offer does anyone expect?
