Quite a lot of meat in Todd's post. Not sure I fully agree with either of his scenarios...but the fact that he posted it and the fact that he sold 2/3 of his holdings should be a wake up call to THQI management that they have severely damaged their relationships with the retail investor.

I doubt that they will get this message though. The part of Todd's post that I fully agree with is the arrogance of THQI management re the small investor and those who are interested enough in the company to post on an Internet message board. Todd's phone call should have been returned if only to tell him that they couldn't talk until the quiet period was over.

It's sad really.

I think there is more to this story. Let me speculate and first state clearly that speculation is all this is...i.e. an attempt to make some sense out of the fragments of info we have.

I would not be surprised if Farrell is forced out and THQI is acquired. Someone was brought in a year or so ago to be on the Board and be in charge of acquisitions. Is this person still a Director?

The reason I raise this question is that Todd raised the question of the change in position taken by Farrell in his pronouncements. This suggests to me that there has been a difference of opinion within THQI over how to play things.

Perhaps one group (Farrell - "case closed") wanted to try to keep the streak of year over year quarterly increases intact and another group wanted to take the hit and move on. The second group has won.

The rumor on Yahoo about a secondary might have been based on fact. THQI may have wanted to acquire ATVI with a cash transaction. Now who wanted to do this? The Farrell faction or the other faction.

One or the other might have been feeding damaging info to the shorts. I assume it was the other faction if this occurred as Farrell would most likely be part of the keep the streak intact faction.

If my surmise is correct, I am still not sure what this means to the price and my own position in this stock. The TA is telling us that in the short term there will continue to be chaos. But a buyout would be favorable to the longs. Is it worth staying in for this?

What happens if Farrell leaves? Will this be good or bad for the stock price. Up until very recently we know what the answer to that question would be. Perhaps it is different today as Farrell leaving would probably mean the company will be sold.

The only person on this message board fully capable of comprehending all of this is Aloha. He likes trouble so this situation should be right up his alley. He has already indicated his take on the situation and I am inclined to agree with him.
