Scumbria - <Do you believe that Intel is shipping 1.5 GHz processors?>

I know they're not.

Just like AMD is not shipping 1.1GHz processors.

I do know for a fact that Intel is shipping 1GHz processors, albeit in limited quantity. I don't really care if the quantity is limited at this point or not, quite honestly. I don't make those kind of decisions.

I do know that Dell, HP, and IBM, (in alphabetical order) were willing to get up on stage with Intel yesterday with Intel's 1GHz processors in their systems.

Have you watched the presentation yet?

Intel is shipping 1 Ghz processors to Dell, HP and IBM. All have conducted public demonstrations of their systems with the 1 Ghz Intel processors.

AMD is shipping 850 Mhz processors to somebody, maybe, but no OEM systems have been observed in public or anywhere else. Maybe it is the AMD Fragile Environment (tm M. Dell).

Re: "Scumbria has now done a "Kash" by refusing to admit his disgraceful accusations were totally unfounded.

Do you believe that Intel is shipping 1.5 GHz processors?"

Scumbria you know what I was referring to.

You claimed the Demo was not air cooled. you said:

"That is incredibly slimy of them to try to create the impression of an air cooled 0.18u part running at 1.5 Ghz."

You refused to believe the PPT presentation was done on a Willamette.

You claimed there was no 3GHz operation of the ALU. You leaped at the chance to quote the Register as an authorative source and refused to accept Intel's own statements of the facts. Incidently the Register has since retracted their claim that the 1.5GHz demo was not at room temp.

In contrast you never questioned AMD's very short demo of a MHz meter claiming 1.1 GHz operation. You never questioned why there were no benchmarks. You never questioned the voltage yet you felt it necessary to ask me (how would I know?) what the Willamette voltage was. You lap up anything AMD says and damn anything Intel says. You are now as biased as anyone can get. I'm biased and I admit it. Drop the pretense of impartiality and stop making a fool of yourself. Over the last 24 hours you have been wrong, wrong, wrong.
