No. It was a ill-advised attempt by Yu in thinking that speaking in relative terms of 1000MHz (a perceived biggie milestone) + 500MHz (1/2 again more than aforementioned biggie milestone) = 1500 implied total MHz would be clear or impressive sounding. I agree that it wasn't. I think some noises to that effect came out of my mouth when I heard him say it.
