How about some discrete xtor numbers.

Inverters use a single transistor delay from input to output.

BTW, an x86 ALU requires about 10 logic levels.
So an ALU running at 3GHz would use.... 300 ps/ 10 = 30 ps delay per logic level.

Is 30 ps about right for Willamette transistors?
