Bill, i am wondering how valid the demographic flow-of-funds argument really is. right now the expectations built into the stock market (at least parts of it) are so astronomical that a period of disappointment may well lie ahead. what if all those boomers should decide things have gotten too risky and it's time to build up traditional savings again? the demographic argument would be blown out of the water fast...
i have a link somewhere to Paul Krugmans critique of Dow 36K...let me know if you're interested then i'll search for it.
oh yes, the CNBC spoo reporter (he's always foaming at the mouth with bullishness) does seem to think the pyramid's going to grow forever...'at internet speed' no less. <gg>
